A warm welcome awaits you at possibly the most spectacular location you could wish for. Surrounded by the majestic fells of The Langdale Valley the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel is a venue that will make your special day unforgetable.
Set in extensive lawned gardens the hotel nestles at the foot of Stickle Ghyll, a beautiful Lakeland stream, providing perfect photo opportunities. Your wedding ceremony can take place in the hotel (up to 60 max) or perhaps a blessing in the garden followed by your wedding breakfast either in the hotel or in a marquee. Alternatively we can provide that special venue for your reception after your church or registry office ceremony.
Whichever season you choose, the New Dungeon Ghyll is perfect for this most important day.
We have just received our licence to hold civil ceremonies and civil partnerships . We have our lovely lounge for ceremonies upto 20 people and our dining room for ceremonies upto 60 people. Blessings can be held in the Gardens or a marquee if you prefer for larger numbers. The Nearest registrar office is Kendal and the nearest church is in chapel stile great langdale.

At New Dungeon Ghyll our 'can do' philosophy reflects on the wedding service we provide.
We believe that each couple has unique requirements,so we endeavour to provide a completely bespoke 'tailor-made' and affordable fully inclusive service with no nasty surprises when it comes to settling your account. We encourage couples to visit us and meet our Wedding Organiser who can guide you through the myriad of questions that you may have. This service is of course complimentary.
We are able to cater for weddings of up to 50 guests within the hotel, or for the larger wedding we can offer a beautiful marquee in the grounds for 50 to 200 people.
We are able to offer accommodation for 46 guests within the hotel. When it comes to catering we can provide whatever you wish, from a full banquet to a barbecue or hog roast.
If you decide on an evening reception after your Wedding Breakfast we are able to advise on any kind of entertainment that you may require.
We have a comprehensive range of musical entertainers, DJ's or possibly a string quartet for a more formal evening.
